Excitement is mounting as hoteliers around the world prepare to let their guests be the judge in the Boutique Hotel Guest Experience Awards.

With registrations closing on 31 January 2019, properties only have 15 days left to join boutique, lifestyle and hybrid hotels from 23 countries taking part in the prestigious BoHo Awards and highlighting the excellent experiences that they offer.

“The BoHo Awards give us the opportunity to rub shoulders and shine with the best: those establishments who put guest reviews first,” explains Nikki Swart of Rivonia Bed and Breakfast, which won the award for Best International Hotel, 21 - 50 Rooms in both 2017 and 2018.

Whether you run a beautiful bed and breakfast in Belarus, a relaxing resort in Rutland, or an atmospheric aparthotel in Amsterdam, you could be walking away a winner at the Awards Ceremony, which forms part of the Boutique + Lifestyle Hotel Summit on 22 May 2019. If you're shortlisted for the awards, you'll even receive a free ticket to the Summit as well as the Awards Ceremony itself. And with properties that range from 2 rooms to 325, size certainly isn’t a limiting factor when it comes to hearing from those whose opinions mean the most — your guests.

“The BoHos are a super initiative that actually open up awards to lesser known stars of the industry. They may not have the usual plaudits from Michelin et al but are consistently delivering excellent customer service or facilities in their market without the usual exposure.”
— Craig S. Webb, Cotswold House Hotel & Spa

“As the BoHos are awarded entirely based on feedback that properties receive from real guests that stay with them, rather than by a panel of judges or a social media campaign, the sense of achievement is greater, as staff across the board feel that they have contributed towards the properties’ success,” says GuestRevu Co-Founder and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Francine Heywood. And Craig S. Webb of Cotswold House Hotel & Spa, which was shortlisted for the 2018 BoHo Awards, agrees.

“The Bohos are a super initiative that actually open up awards to lesser known stars of the industry,” Craig explains. “They may not have the usual plaudits from Michelin et al but are consistently delivering excellent customer service or facilities in their market without the usual exposure.”

Properties from 23 countries around the world have already registered for the BoHo Awards 2019

It’s not just individual properties that have the chance to garner glory in the Awards either — this year has seen groups of properties from across the globe vying for the title of Best Group Brand. “It’s an exciting addition,” says Francine, “and a natural development for the BoHos, since we’ve found that guest feedback is a cornerstone for groups to get the valuable insights that they need to make decisions on an operational level.”

That the BoHo Awards highlight the importance and value of guest feedback for properties regardless of their size or stature is what inspired GuestRevu to both found the awards together with Boutique Hotel News in 2017, and offer their direct feedback and online reputation management software to entrants throughout the registration and collection period. This gives properties who do not already have a digital feedback system in place the opportunity to test-drive award-winning technology at no cost.

Registrations for the BoHos close on 31 January 2019, leaving only 15 days for properties around the world to enter these prestigious awards and let their guests be the judge.
