Last chance to let your feedback shine in BoHo Awards 2019

If you missed the 31 January deadline to enter the Boutique Hotel Guest Experience Awards, you're in luck! Due to the influx of last-minute entries, the organisers have decided to extend the deadline for entries until 08 February.

We've seen boutique, lifestyle and hybrid hotels from over 35 countries around the world sign up to let their guests be the judge as they vie for their place amongst former winners of the BoHo Awards, with entries from far-flung and fascinating locations such as Guatemala and Malaysia coming in up until the last minute.

“It’s wonderful to see such a diverse range of properties entering the BoHo Awards,” says GuestRevu Co-Founder and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Francine Heywood. “We’ve seen lodges, pubs, aparthotels and teaching hotels, ranging from two rooms to 325, all of whom see as much value in guest feedback as we do.”

We all think we know our businesses, but we rarely get to experience them from the guest's point of view." — Jonathan Kaye, Cedar Manor

GuestRevu, which was a founding partner for the Awards and has been the Technology Partner since their inception, is offering their award-winning guest feedback and reputation management solutions free of charge throughout the data collection period. This gives those who do not already have these solutions in place the opportunity to test-drive world-class hotel technology and gain invaluable insights from the judges who truly matter most — their guests.

It’s this focus on the value of what guests think about their experiences that sets the BoHo Awards apart — winners are decided entirely based on feedback and reviews that the entering properties receive from their own guests between 01 February and 30 April 2019, rather than being subject to the opinions of a panel of judges, or social media campaigns. Previous entrants to the Awards appreciate the opportunity to be recognised for their experiences based on guest feedback, and it is what has seen properties like Cedar Manor entering year after year.

“We all think we know our businesses,” explains Cedar Manor’s Operations Director, Jonathan Kaye, “but we rarely get to experience them from the guest’s point of view.”

“It has been interesting… learning how the little touches we automatically do make such a big difference to a guest’s experience,” agrees Geoff Lofthouse of the Imperial Hotel.

Feedback and review scores received during the collection period will be analysed by students and faculty at Bournemouth University, which has taken on the role of Educational Partner for the 2019 Awards. The Awards Ceremony itself forms part of the Boutique + Lifestyle Hotel Summit, which is hosted by International Hospitality Media and will take place in London on 22 May 2019. Shortlisted properties will get the opportunity to have a representative at the Summit and Awards Ceremony free of charge, where they hope to walk away with a coveted BoHo Awards trophy.
