Hotels worldwide are invited to compete in the 2026 GuestRevu GREAT Awards. Entries are open from the 1st to the 30th of June.
GuestRevu is proud to announce that entries are now open for the third edition of the Guest-Rated Excellence in Accommodation and Travel (GREAT) Awards. Hotels, resorts, and guesthouses worldwide are invited to participate to showcase their dedication to guest excellence and vie for the coveted GuestRevu GREATest Hotel titles.
The results of the GREAT Awards are determined by online guest reviews and are open to any lodging accommodation worldwide listed on Tripadvisor, Booking.com, and/or Google reviews. Each property's overall score is calculated from consolidated review data across these three top platforms. Properties are then automatically allocated to relevant categories based on their number of rooms, accommodation type, and geographical area.
To ensure the GREAT Awards are objective, fair, and transparent, we have partnered once again with Stenden University South Africa, and data analysis will be overseen by the Executive Dean, Dr Wouter Hensens.
"The traveller’s story, once scattered across the web, now comes home as actionable intelligence for everyone to see. This makes online reviews more relevant than ever before,” explained Dr Hensens, when asked about the relevance of reviews in an AI-powered landscape.
“With the GuestRevu GREAT Awards, we recognise and celebrate hoteliers who consistently create exceptional hospitality experiences. We select them by using only data that really reflects the guest experience: online guest reviews.”
– Dr Wouter Hensens, Executive Dean, Stenden University South Africa
Thanks to the participation of other leading hospitality tech vendors, Cendyn and Stayntouch, the GREAT Awards will offer a spectacular global opportunity to recognise and celebrate the world's most dedicated hotel businesses. The prestigious honour of winning a GREAT Award is a direct testament to their unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and valuing every piece of guest feedback.
Terry McCartney, Owner & Manager at Belmore Court and Motel, one of the hotels to have been shortlisted previously for a GREAT Award, told the Fermanagh Herald:
“Being shortlisted in four categories for the GuestRevu GREAT Awards, including two where we’re the only Irish property represented, is an extraordinary honour. These nominations reflect our commitment to guest satisfaction and our dedication to responsible and sustainable hospitality.”

Entries are open for one month, and close on 30 June 2026, followed by a three-month data collection and analysis phase from July to September.
The 2026 award ceremonies will feature events taking place in Europe and Africa. Winners for Europe, America, and APAC will be announced in October 2026, followed by the Africa winners in November.
